ChefMLK School of Cooking
ChefMLK School of Cooking was established by Chef Martin Kobald as medium to share his passion for Food and the Culinary Industry with Trainee Chefs. The ChefMLK campus is based in Glen Marais, Kempton Park and is ideally situated in Ekurhuleni. We offer small classes for individual attention and support and encourage a sense of community with our Trainees. Practical work experience periods are arranged and monitored by the School to ensure a positive learning experience and is further enhanced by access to hospitality events, visits to farmers and suppliers as well as Trainee-hosted functions.
ChefMLK School of Cooking is a great institute. They always help me to do my best and learn from mistakes. The lecturers really go out of their way to help ensure I always understand what to do when I am confused or when I'm not sure what to do. I have really learnt a lot at the School and have grown as a person.
Fantastic staff with small classes which allows for individualised learning. Great premises with everything required for practical classes. Almost family-like among peers with everyone looking out for each other. Lecturers encourage growth and career development, forcing us out of our comfort zones allowing us to become more confident with ourselves and in our cooking. Lecturers generate an excitement for the material they are teaching and encourage discussion during class.
